Dr. '''Liang Nishang''', is a civilian Doctor/psychiatrist currently assigned to Starbase 118. Formerly a Starfleet Lieutenant and a veteran of the Dominion War, Doctor Nishang resigned her commission after the Battle of Betazed and the deaths of her family there. Taking a few months off to write her report about the incident. Doctor Nishang returned to Earth, her earth family and went back to college to further her career, before signing up again with Starfleet as a civilian contractor. She was not fully comfortable in her uniform, but, feeling like she owed something to all her friends and extended family on Betazed. Doctor Nishang took the assignment on the Stabase as much for her sense of duty as to help herself work through those close deaths. | |||
