Life among the Phylosians is hard to understand for many other species in the galaxy, but as a race that evolved from plant life, Motha found non-plant organisms equally difficult to understand. As a young sproutling, Motha wanted to explore the galaxy and realized before embarking that he was ill prepared for such a journey. There were so many non-plant life out there that the universe seemed to revolve around them. | |||
So for 186 years, he studied everything he could get his hands on to try to grasp the conscious mind of other species so once he stepped out of the protective nest of his homeworld, he would be able to function and learn the things he wanted to know. Passing his entrance exams with flying colors, Motha was accepted in to starfleet Academy and he happily left his home to seek the adventure and knowledge he so desperately wanted. | |||
