T'Mar also has an odd relationship with the former Chief Tactical Officer, Debra Cross. Cross is T'Mar's former instructor, yet T'Mar was her superior officer when she was assigned to the Apollo. While T'Mar still views Cross as her instructor, she is still a higher rank, making the relationship quite complicated. The two shared an officer of both departments, forcing them to spend more time working together, however Cross was reassigned to the [[USS_Avandar|USS Avandar]].
