Bryan Andrew MacRae was born in Edinburgh, Earth, to Allison (Neé Leslie) and Duncan MacRae. His father is a retired editor and political correspondent for the Federation News Service and his mother is a museum curator and xenoanthrapologist. The couple met when Duncan was working on story concerning a donation of Risean artefacts to Earth that were being displayed in the museum where Allison worked. He has a younger sister, Iona, who works as a chef. | |||
