Penelope and Deana were both born at Antarctic Research Station 3 on Earth; A highly robust and temperature regulated research building in the Antarctic. The two sisters had been born to a Bajoran mother, Emi Roox and a human father Dan Jones. The two girls grew up at Research Station 3 until Deana was 13 and the two of them moved to warmer climates to live with their human aunt, Mary Jones - Stone, Uncle, Duke Stone and cousins Frida and Flint Stone.

Yoga and Water Fitness Classes

Roox Penelope works part time as a medical officer in order to be able to teach yoga and water fitness classes.

The Yoga classes offered range from beginner, where the aim is to practice and hold the poses, yoga for anxiety, and fitness based yoga.

The water fitness classes focus on aerobic endurance, resistance training, and creating an enjoyable atmosphere with music. Different forms of water aerobics include: aqua Zumba, water yoga, aqua aerobics, and aqua jog. For more advanced swimmers Penelope offers mono fin swim classes aka mermaid swim classes.

Roox Deana is Penelope's older sister. Deana has ADHD and OCD tendencies; always switching from activity to activity. As a child she was always trying to learn as many new subjects as she could; were she ended up falling in love with baking and antique dealing. In her late teens she meet her husband Ryan Scott and had a son, Flynn Scott, with him at the age of 20. Due to her ADHD and OCD she was never present in the relationship, so now even though they are still married they no longer live with each other, for the time being.

Girl Friend

Roox Penelope and Andrea Munger meet during the 239611-12 mission on board the USS Narendra, while treating patients. During shore leave of 239701 the two of them meet up again on the Star Base, striking up a conversation as well as ending up in the night garden before going to break up a bar fight. They haven't known each other long but Penelope started developing a crush on the Martian woman the second she saw her sitting at a cafe on the Star Base. Quite quick did they become girl friends. Their couples theme song is: Lavender's Blue.
