Born in the Luna Colony of New Berlin to a Family of Wealthy transport owners, Clara spends most of her childhood on the moon or helping out on some of the family-run freighters.
Clara has a love for Football, having played for her school's local team. She can also speak a little Andorian because her family often transports goods there.

By sixteen, she applied to Starfleet and was accepted a month later. There she met her roommate and soon-to-be long-time friend Alex. They took the same tactical course at the academy, nearly at the top of their class.

She and Alex were assigned to Denali Station, working together on USS Eagle to recover a Bajoran's orb and later acting as second in command for Alex while she temporarily ran station security.

Clara joined Alex on the USS Octavia E Butler, shortly after it returned to DS9. During the ship's shore leave, Clara tries to rekindle with an old flame named Michael from the academy, but learns of his death on Frontier Day, She goes to see Alex for emotional support.

Clara took part in a Diplomatic Mission with Cheydalanga at DS14, She found some of the Delegations to be annoying, but enjoyed her time on the mission.
