Rygel VII, not to be confused with Rigel VII, a planet with a similar sounding name, is a planet on the outskirts of Federation space, located on the border between the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. The planet was only recently colonized by the Federation. This has made it a frequent target for raids.
Lieutenant JG Vincent Pierce is currently serving as the Chief Intelligence Officer on board the USS Apollo and he was born on this planet.
