Background
Caitríona (or Cait) is from a small town in the south of Ireland. Her parents were farmers, the land had been in the family for generations. Even though she loved the land and the animals, it wasn't what she wanted for herself.
When she turned 18, Cait would travel to the City every day where she trained to be a nurse for four years in the local hospital. She still had a lot to learn and experience in life. She found a passion for helping people and always looked up to the doctors she would assist. In times of need, she would always put herself out there to help if there was an emergency. These situations were intense but they only solidified her aspirations of wanting to join the Starfleet and become a fully trained Doctor. She wanted to explore and help as many people as she could along the way.
After 4 years of working as a (civilian) nurse, Cait decided it was time to join Starfleet. She has since spent 4 years studying medicine, and another 4 training to be an officer.
Now at 34, she is where she needs to be.
