	Bio

Valora was born on El-Auria in 2106 to parents Von & Rhea who were both considerably older when she was born. She was an only child raised by her diplomat parents and her life was boring and predictable until she met Karsyn not long after her 92nd birthday in 2198. Swept up in the adventure of young love they left El-Auria and moved to Earth together in 2202, settling in France. Three years later, after a whirlwind romance of only seven years (very short by El-Aurian standards), Karsyn & Valora got married and adopted the last name of Croix to better blend in with the natives of their new home. They spent the next fifty years on Earth together, moving every decade or so before it would become noticeable that they weren’t aging at the same rate as their friends and neighbors.

In 2255, ready for a new adventure, Karsyn decided to enlist in Starfleet. While Valora didn’t understand his dream, she supported him and decided to return home to El-Auria and follow in her parent’s path to become a diplomat. During their time apart, they were both free to explore other romantic connections. Only ten years later, in 2265, El-Auria was destroyed by the Borg. Valora’s parents died in the destruction of her home, however Karsyn’s family managed to get Valora off planet just in time. The next three years were a terrifying and tumultuous time for Valora as the surviving El-Aurians scattered across the universe in search of safety and new homes. Karsyn’s parents and sister settled, along with others, on a welcoming planet to begin rebuilding their culture the best they could in an El-Aurian colony. Valora took to the stars and worked as a negotiator for a merchant vessel until Karsyn finally tracked her down in 2268.

After being reunited and realizing how close they’d come to losing each other, Karsyn and Valora stayed together for the next 32 years, serving on the merchant vessel and learning everything they could about running a successful merchant business. When the opportunity arose to take on more responsibility, Valora leapt at the chance despite Karsyn’s hesitation. Deciding this was not an endeavor they should pursue together, they went their separate ways again, Karsyn wanting to learn all he could about alien races and languages while Valora valued her growing career. They spent 75 years apart and still do not speak much of that time away from each other. During that time, Valora met and loved a Bajoran man named Arun Ain, staying with him until his death. She also spent time learning the Ferengi ways of business which helped mold not only her love of latinum but her shrewd business practices.

In 2375, Valora bought her own ship and set out to build a business as a tech broker. She asked Karsyn to join her in starting the business and the two were reunited again. They spent the next 23 years working together and built a very successful and well known reputation as merchants for high end technology. Once the business was running well, Valora realized that Karsyn was getting restless once again and suggested he revisit his dream of serving in Starfleet. In 2398 he left to rejoin the fleet where he has been serving for the last four years. Recently, in 2402, Karsyn requested a transfer to the Khitomer so that he could be closer to where Valora primarily ran her business and the two of them were excited to reconnect as his transfer was approved.
