Relationships Parents: Father: S'Turri Mother: M'Rish Siblings: C’Reem (sister), S’Rabrie(brother) Spouse: N/A Children: N/A Personality V’Nille is a very bright and cheerful person that, if given the opportunity, will happily chat about anything and everything extensively. Her own insatiable curiosity about the world and people around her means she likes to ask a lot of questions of people, and this extends to blurting whatever comes to mind, whether question or comment, before thinking about it. Experience and time have tempered this some. The reactions she’s sometimes gotten for this tendency of hers has made her grateful that her inclinations and talents lend her skills to a field where she doesn’t have to worry as much about navigating delicate conversations. The calico is also very energetic, and tends to want to keep moving on and off duty as much as she can. She regularly schedules time on the holodeck for physically demanding hobbies like hiking, climbing, and running and can be seen in the gym when this isn’t possible. In contrast, V’Nille’s focus is nearly second to none while on the job and is a stickler for following safety regulations and protocols. While she looks up to mavericks like those seen on the crew of the various Enterprises or the USS Voyager, she is well aware that many of the safety rules were written with very good reason. It is only safety that inspires such diligence. She’s otherwise adventurous and whimsical whenever she feels like the circumstances are right for it. Her stubborn streak comes out most strongly whenever she feels challenged to prove she can do something. Background V’Nille was born on a Federation station established as a trading and refueling outpost along one of the popular trading routes. Her litter was born a bit premature, surprising both of her parents. Her actual childhood was spent on a Caitian colony world, where she grew up among mostly other Caitians until she graduated school. Her parents both worked for the same trading company, but once they had children, one of them would always stay on the planet to raise them while the other took the jobs that would take them offworld. They would also take turns doing this to give each other as much time with the kids as possible, each regaling the litter with tales of their travels and the worlds beyond the colony. She signed up for Starfleet on a whim one day while looking for something to do. The first two failures at the exams for Starfleet Academy only made her more keen on getting into the institution, if only to prove that there wasn’t anything she couldn’t accomplish if she was stubborn enough about it. She narrowly made the grade and promptly surprised her professors with her insatiable curiosity lending itself to insightful analysis. She was gently herded towards a career in Starfleet Tactical, where her traits and abilities lended themselves to quickly picking up how to manage a starship’s weapon, analyze the battlefield, and most of all, how to research the subjects she was naturally interested in anyway: other people and civilizations. Few Caitians are inclined to embrace a martial career these days and V’Nille was initially no exception when her advisors suggested the Tactical career track. It wasn’t until she actually started taking the classes that she found how much enjoyed it and ended up graduating in the top quartile of her class. Her first assignment upon graduation was to Deep Space 24 as a weapons officer for two years, then she was transferred to the USS Chesapeake in late 2400. The Chesapeake was where she initially was exposed to Strategic Operations outside of mentions of the specialty at Starfleet Academy. A conversation with the Strategic Operations officer led to V’Nille studying it in more depth and taking remote classes related to it. In 2402, she received orders to transfer to the USS Chin'toka as the ship's new Strategic Operations Officer.
