He was originally a friend of Wallace, though quickly found another friendship in Doz; in her brothers absence, they made a pact to also become enlisted engineers and escape her humdrum existence. As a known taunter and lover of mischief, Murphy highly cherished Doz and enjoyed making fun of her workaholic nature. Often preferring her company over anyone elses, they were inseparable and even requested to work together on multiple occassions, succeeding in doing so on the USS Bonestell, and later in life the USS Marigold.

A collector of trophies, and highly competitive, it's believed on the lower decks that she's gunning for Koth's position, and that if he were to ever mysteriously disappear, she's likely got something to do with it.
