The following is a list of resources that security personnel may find useful in their simming and character development. Not all of the links listed below will be directly related to Star trek, but all will have some bearing on security/law enforcement.

• Universal Declaration of Human Rights - The full text of the Declaration, which was proclaimed on 10 December 1948.
• The Emergencies Act (Canada) - An overview of the Act which gives the government the ability to invoke incident-specific powers to deal with emergency situations. The full text of the Act can be found here.
• General Criminal Investigative Procedures - A straightforward outline of investigative procedure from Custer, South Dakota (USA), sheriff's office.
