DISCRIPTION

The 13 Marines assigned to the USS Independence-A happened were formed on Stardate:238708.00, when the Contingents Leader Alexandria Somers got posted to the USS Independence-A and asked for extra Marines to be part of the Unit she wished to create. The Coningent was made up of Specialists and the best Marines Starfleet Marine Corps had to offer, since being formed on the USS Independence-A, the unit has taken part in Operation Brightstar, which saw the Starfleet forces retake Deep Space 17 back from the Vaadwaur. This is where the history of the Independence-A Marines begins.
