Professional History

On September 3rd, 2379, QUinn entered Starfleet Academy's Engineering program and graduated on June 8, 2384. While he wasn't at the top of the class, Quinn landed well within the top ten. He is noted for his areas of specialization in hardware design, starbase and starship construction, and planetary engineering (including dome colony construction and terraforming). Halfway through his Academy years Quinn applied for and was granted entry into Flight School, picking up a Class III rating. After graduation, he spent the next three years working out of Utopia Planeta Shipyards for his residency and intern assignment until May of 2387, when he had the opportunity to apply for a transfer to the Starbase118 Fleet.

Personal History

Quinn has an erratic affliction of slight seizures which causes his eyes to involuntary flutter, usually when he's utilizing memory retention. While he hasn't yet suffered from a stroke, it's one of his frequent worries although it doesn't stop him from what he loves doing (and likes to think he does well), which is working in the Starfleet Corps of Engineers. In his spare time he has an old 20th Century Harley motorcycle (in pieces) he works on (although he secretly thinks it would make a bad-ass schematic for a sleeker fighter class, which is the primary purpose behind the restoration... which design components could be utilized). Unfortunately, he also suspects his passion for hardware is what skews his social skills and keeps him single and unattached.

He is oldest of three children. His younger sister, Elizabeth (23), is in her final year at Starfleet Academy's Medical Program and the youngest of the siblings, Veronica (20) is pursuing a business degree outside of Starfleet. Quinn's parents, William Holmes (formerly, Cmdr. William Holmes of the USS Northwind, retired) and LtCmdr Ellen Patrick, currently on leave from Starbase 110 where she serves as the station's Chief Medical Officer.

Quinn is a young, energetic man who doesn't put a lot of faith into his physical description, but in his skills along with his quirky sense of humor with a sense of "fun". He likes to undertake challenging projects (but additionally likes to ramble on the impossibilities of such projects at the same time), avoids alcohol like the plague since he has no tolerance for it, and keeps a small collection of mystery books (the guilty pleasure reading). One of his major hobbies is architecture and building models.
