Emerson Kent is a young human serving as a research assistant in the science labs of the Khitomer. He enlisted young and is happy studying in the labs. He has expressed an interest in joining the Academy if he can get the sponsorship. He is tall and thin with short curly black hair. He is always very pleasant and willing to help. He's part of the "Study Group", the affectionate nickname of the Science Department coined by Quentin Collins, now adopted by Maz Rodan. Maz has a running joke with the Crewman that it's taking longer than usual for him to pick a discipline and get his PhD.
