In the coding above, delete two of the headings so that only one remains. You can then type here as if you were writing on notepad to drop in some information about your character. If you want to use bullets, copy and paste the star above. You can also look on the forums and the wiki for tutorials on how to use more adventurous coding. Want to include sections for Background, Personality AND Career History? Just copy the code for the title bar above, then paste it in type in the title you want - you can add extra sections in too!

Iz was born and raised in the urban jungle of New York City on Earth. The youngest of four children he had an older sister and two older brothers. His mother, Krista, was a well recognized professor of Comparative Artwork, as well as an accomplished painter. His father, Calvin, worked in interplanetary commerce, specializing in botanic import and export. Krista and Calvin met playing blues music for a small group that they were part of, and continue to play weekends at various clubs.

Iz's siblings turned out to be quite high achieving. His sister, Iris, the eldest of the children, went into engineering and became an innovator in cutting-edge spaceflight technology. His eldest brother, Samuel, became a leader in an influential church congregation. His second brother, Quincy, took up music after his parents and is an up-and-coming musician and composer with a large body of published work.

As for Iz, he never really found a way to distinguish himself. He did adequately in his schooling, passing his subjects without too much effort. He was gifted in athletics, but had no real inclination to make a lifetime pursuit of them.

For a time, Iz was content to more or less just exist without any real pursuit of anything bigger. Through his parents' contacts in the entertainment circles, he found work doing security at an upscale bar downtown. It was relatively easy work, and Iz got to listen to plenty of live music. He felt he was happy enough in his unambitious holding pattern.

Things changed when a visiting trio of Klingon vocalists came to perform at the bar, attracting some loyal Klingon fans to attend the performance. To put things mildly, most of the non-Klingon patrons in attendance did not find the vocal stylings to their likings and responded negatively. In response, the Klingon fans put forth protest, and things got unruly.

One Klingon female in particular was big enough, ferocious enough and drunk enough that nobody wanted anything to do with her, but when she attacked another patron, Iz had to intervene. It cost him a black eye, a broken leg and several teeth, but he finally managed to get her restrained.

While Iz was awaiting medical services, one of the patrons from the show, a Starfleet officer on leave, came by to commend Iz on the job that he had done. The incident, as it was, had reminded the officer of a mission that had taken him to a port town on an unaligned planet where there was not much in the way of law and order.

As stories went, it was fairly engaging and, when the medics came to attend him, Iz mentioned to the officer that he wished he had a more interesting kind of life. The officer just chuckled and left Iz to the care of the medics.

The next day, however, a message was waiting for Iz about a recommendation for Starfleet Academy. Feeling that he had nothing to lose, Iz decided to enroll and see if he could make something better for himself.

SIM Archive

Replace the links below with links to your own SIMs that you find memorable or are important to your character - you may want to add more as your time with the fleet goes on! You can find a complete archive of sims here at the SIM Archive.
To end your bio, we're going to drop in some code here for your ship's crew template, which should appear at the bottom of your bio and will help members of the fleet easily browse other bios of your shipmates. Change the name of the ship below to whatever the name of your character's ship is, unless of course you've been assigned to the USS Gemini! Don't forget the letter suffix for your ship if yours has one (such as the USS Darwin-A).
