Service Ribbon Name Date/Assignment Citation
Purple Heart 239306.11
Starbase 118 Ops
Lieutenant Trel'lis ventured into the dangers of the Below, and was injured in the line of duty. Yet she still managed to interrogate Janker the criminal and gain valuable information to our investigation. For this I am awarding her the Purple Heart, with special recognition for carrying out her duty despite injury. ::a pause and a smile:: And listening to Doctor Ezo when it counted.
Innovation Ribbon 239303.20
Starbase 118 Ops
First up, upon hearing of our clever and quick solution to the Tribble troubles, Starfleet Command has authorized the award of the Innovation Ribbon for quick thinking, quick containment, and a number of very clever and innovative solutions to a breeding problem ranging from good response from our new medical teams, clever containment and the use of Klingon Pheremones to stop the advance of our weaponized furballs. I must also add that 'hairless tribbles' had been added to the roster of recognized tribble breeds, under the species: Polygeminus grex lianius 118. So now everyone who was onboard the station at that time can say they were part of tribble history.  ::He was grinning widely now, amused at the adventures a simple tribble ocnvention had brought to the station.:: This award is presented to: Theo Whittaker, Baylen Anders, Kaitlyn Falcon, Antero Flynn, Freya Andersen, Cadfael Peters, Mirra Ezo, Zinna, Trel'lis, Tatash and Trellis Vondaryan.
Peacekeeper Service Ribbon 239212.20
Starbase 118 Ops
All four of you served this mission in many different ways - from navigating the Stormcrow to rescue her survivors to being an integral lynchpin on the bridge to negotiating with a madman. In the end the result was the same - all of you were part of a greater whole that prevented an act of terrorism against a defenseless colony. Your work has promoted peace between the Federation and Romulus and even though our mission was stressful and difficult, we have prevented an act of war. To honor this, I am presenting all of you with the Peacekeeper's ribbon.
Good Conduct Ribbon 239210.29
Starbase 118 Ops
For your actions in Sickbay, I am awarding you the Good Conduct Ribbon.
Prometheus Ribbon 239207.15
Starbase 118 Ops
This is *Commander* Page to all senior crew. I want to thank you all for your sterling efforts during the recent the crisis. Your bravery and devotion to duty is second to none, and your achievements have been recognized. It is my pleasure to announce all senior crew have been awarded the Prometheus Ribbon. Congratulations.
Explorer's Ribbon 239202.15
Starbase 118 Ops
As with Lieutenant Falcon, I have spoke to the Fleet Captain of the Garuda who was also Trel’lis’ last CO. I am happy to announce that you too have been awarded the Explorer’s Ribbon.
Explorer's Ribbon 239201.28
USS Garuda
Though it didn’t precede in a way that Starfleet, you, or I imagined it would, this mission still provided us with much valuable information about the Genesis Cloud, the nature of protomatter conglomerations, and the entity or entities known as the Kindred. For your part in those discoveries, everyone will receive the Explorer’s Ribbon. Commander Calderan and Lieutenants Falcon and Trel’lis will also receive this ribbon in absentia.
Silver Star 239112.05
USS Garuda
Finally, I want to express my deepest thanks to all of you. I had the duty of being Acting-CO of the station during the recent mission, but my task was made so much easier having all of you working with me. We are, without hesitation, the best crew in the Fleet. Even those of you who haven’t received an award yet, the light of the stars still shines on your record. It is therefore my honour to present everyone here the Silver Star, in recognition of your actions against the Maquis and maintaining order on the station alongside our Cardassian partners.
Captain's Commendation 239110.09
USS Garuda
Finally, I'd like to acknowledge the entire Mercury away team: Lieutenant Commanders Calderan and Core, Lieutenants Delano, DeVeau, and Trel'lis, and Doctor Skyfire. An away team rarely has the luxury of knowing exactly what they'll encounter on a mission, but they are also rarely put into situations in which their mortal well-being will be actively threatened. Not only did the away team cope with just such a situation, they also managed to fulfill the mission objectives and deliver the Mercury back into Starfleet's hands. For this, I recognize each of them with the Captain's Commendation. Congratulations!-->
Diplomacy Ribbon 239108.02
USS Garuda
I would like to recognize all officers active in the mission to Pleethion with the Diplomacy Ribbon. Your efforts during and after the evacuations, though they were mostly unnecessary, nevertheless helped affix the notion of Starfleet's use and helpfulness in the minds of the Eth.
Gateway Ribbon 239101.01
USS Garuda
First, the Gateway Ribbon. Those officers who have been so awarded participated in action regarding the recent opening of Iconian gateways across the Alpha and Beta Quadrants and responded to their specific situation with appropriate measures. (beat) This crew’s recognized officers are Captain Quinn Reynolds; Commander Harrison Ross; Lieutenant Commanders Roshanara Rahman and Saveron; Lieutenants Jade Shryker, Mei’konda, and Tato Zeme; Lieutenants, junior grade Trel’lis, Kotir Arith, and Alora DeVeau; and Ensigns Mauel Calavera and Kyle Dracht. Captain Kells, Lieutenant Commander Breeman, and Ensigns Sahriv and T’Vai are also noted in absentia.
Silver Star 239101.01
USS Garuda
The Silver Star is next awarded to those officers who performed with marked gallantry and heroism against an antagonist. In this case, I firmly support the decision to recognize those of you who faced the Cardassian warship and her experimental cloak. Councilor Prianna of the Cardassian Union’s Detapa Council also wishes to pass along her government’s thanks. (beat) The recognized officers are Captain Quinn Reynolds; Lieutenants Jade Shryker and Mei’konda; Lieutenants, Junior Grade, Trel’lis and Kotir Arith; and Ensigns Kyle Dracht and Manuel Calavera. Further, Captain Kells, Lieutenant Commander Breeman, and Ensign Sahriv are awarded in absentia.

Personal History

Trel'lis was born Elizabeth Reed in Garfield, New Jersey, to Peter and Cynthia Reed, in Earth's 20th Century. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Chicago, Illinois. Elizabeth had 2 other siblings, Judi and Karen 5-6 years apart, with Elizabeth being the oldest. Elizabeth experienced a normal childhood, growing up in a major city, going to the public schools, all the way up through high school. Afterwards, she pursued a career in entertainment, leaning towards stand-up comedy. Soon she got her first "big break", on a local level, being invited to a special, day-long "Amateur Comedy" competition event, at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, in Chicago's Millennium Park. That day started out normally, with Ms Reed, now aged 34, beginning her day at the pavilion gearing up for the competition, by practicing her routine. She had devised a headpiece, consisting of an elastic headband with a miniature pair of HSS pipes, resembling those at the "ends" of the Pritzker Pavilion's unique trellis system. She had already "established" herself as a local comedienne, taking the stage name "Dusty Trellis" and the day of the event started out normally. Unbeknownst to her and everyone, a large, cloaked, "Adaption vessel" settled into a geosynchonous orbit, undetected by the world's atmospheric sensor systems. The vessel, settled over Chicago, and seemed to follow Reed's progress. The inhabitants of this large vessel were relatively unknown, but called themselves Xelarians, and traveled millions of light-years, in search of a new earth-born "Guardian". Xelarians were a distant cousin of the Thalaxians, only their skin was a pale yellow, with golden eyes and deep orange hair and are consider "Guardian-makers". They waited until the event was over, that evening and Reed was ready to leave, having come in third, that year. It was relatively late and the Pritzker Pavilion was almost completely empty, save for the cleanup and backstage crews and Millenium Park Security. As she finally made her way out of the backstage area and began her walk, off the Pavilion grounds, a robed figure "descended from the vessel, and settled atop the highest point of the trellis of curved steel HSS pipes. The figure made his presence known, only to her, by telekinetically lifting "Dusty" off the ground and gently depositing her atop the trellis, facing him. After a brief explanation, he told her he was there to "appoint" her as the "Guardian", of Chicago and of the Pritzker Pavilion. The man identified himself as Xi'tun of Xelara and proceeded to explain his presence and what was to be done to her.

He then proceeded to initiate the procedure, to "transform" Dusty, into a full "Guardian", infusing her with empathic ability and complete knowledge of all martial arts, known to Earth. Then a small vortex formed, at the base of her skull, surrounding the "trellis pipes" of her headpiece, "grafting" it, through molecular mutation, thus turning it into "living" steel. He then gave her a transparent container, carrying an isolinear chip. This contained all the information need to confirm what had been done to Dusty Trellis. This infusion, which was a type of mental transfer/blending is what triggered the acquisition of her abilities and martial arts skills. As a result of the "transformation and "grafting" procedures, infusion, "Dusty" now had many of the same attributes of the Xelarian race. The retention of original skin/hair/eye color and the "grafting" of the "trellis", the "V"-shaped "pipes" which also consisted of living tissue, despite it looking and feeling like HSS pipes. One of the attributes acquired was an extended lifespan - aging one Xelarian year, for every one HUNDRED Earth years, similar to the Thalaxian aging rate. This began, after she "de-aged" to 21 years old. So now she possessed the body of a 21-year-old, fit and athletic. Another "change" was that, Dusty was given the name, "Trel'lis", in reference to the Pritzker Pavilion's trellis system, which supported the speakers of the LARES sound system! The family, friends had to address her by that new name. As Dusty discovered the full potential of her abilities, some of which manifested, by her will. Trel'lis began to act independently, yet within the parameters of State and Federal Law. By the time Starfleet was formed, Trel'lis was already centuries old, yet appeared to be in her early 20s. She still hesitated to join as she felt there was more to do. Finally, one year, after a particularly uneventful year, Trel'lis, became restless and disillusioned with life as a whole. She had thought about Starfleet Academy, and subsequently, Trel'lis applied for and was accepted to Starfleet Academy, majoring in Ship and Planetary Security.

Her Academy years were a challenge, both to Trel'lis and the staff, for whenever she felt inclined, she tended to try their patience with her "dog-bark" pranks! Trel'lis eventually graduated with a grade point average equivelant of 3.3. Upon graduation,Trel'lis was assigned to a small, Steamrunner-class vessel, until she received transfer orders to her new assignment.

Medical/Psychology Report

  • Trel'lis has the qualities of a normal humanoid, despite her special abilities.

The main way to prevent access to special abilities, is to psionically restrict the "access" to her abilities and martial arts skills. Plus, Trel'lis can be hurt, just like anyone else, but she is able to "heal", by auto-regenerating her "trellis", if damaged or destroyed, or through modified regenerators "tuned" to her "trellis's molecular structure. This "trellis" serves no real purpose, except as an outward sign of the DNA infusion process. The species, Xelarians, that infused Trel'lis, has yet to be formally contacted, due to their location being unknown at this time, much like the Thalaxians, who infused Acel'a, Am'tra and others. Their vessel was so well cloaked, that 20th-Century technology was inadequate in its detection. Although Trel'lis is 458, she appears to be only 23, or so, do the altered aging process. The only prior injuries, were to her "trellis", both in the line of "duty", as a Guardian and in Starfleet. Trel'lis tends to be a bit "assertive", to the point of almost-reckless, which tends to draw unwanted, negative attention, she is, however striving to correct this weakness.
