Astrofori One is a space station that has been active in the Menthar Corridor since 2392. It's known by several other names depending upon which species you ask, but its name in Federation Standard derives from an extinct Earth language and translates roughly as "a place to talk among the stars." Astrofori One's mission is to bring together the major and minor powers in the Menthar Corridor under the banner of peaceful cooperation and collaboration.

Astrofori One currently contains diplomatic missions, military or civilian detachments, scientific teams, or other representatives from the governments and powers listed below. The list is not exhaustive, though it should be relatively accurate with respect to the major powers listed.

			Diplomatic Missions Aboard DSX

Major Representation UNITED FEDERATION OF PLANETS An alliance of nearly 200 worlds, including Earth, Vulcan, Andoria, Tellar, and many others. ROMULAN STAR EMPIRE A recovering polity that has recently lost its homeworld but none of its fervor. BREEN CONFEDERACY A postwar amalgamation of federated worlds, all populated by a xenophobic species rarely seen outside of their encounter suits. KUBAREY CONFEDERATION A powerful, expanding, parliamentary state. Minor Representation CARDASSIAN UNION A recovering, smaller alliance headlined by the species that once allied with the Dominion. The formerly independent Myr Luuk are a part of the Union. KLINGON EMPIRE Though not fully supportive of the station's mission, the aggressive Klingon Empire has sent a small diplomatic contingent to observe. THOLIAN ASSEMBLY A harsh and isolationist species that begins to realize its part of the galaxy is becoming rather full. The diplomatic mission is filled by a minor political party with no real power on the homeworld. PEPPALEXA A former power, backbone of a great alliance of species ten thousand years before, found lost in time and struggling to understand the machinations of a new millennium. TAREDGE A friendly if isolated race, eager for allies and to trade technologies. DENNERMÉ A combative, confrontational species, strongly interested in cyborg modification. THE COMMUNITY A minor power, formerly in a stalemated war with the Myr Luuk, looking to larger powers for guidance. VA WRETH A poorly understood, nomadic species.
