It wasn't until 2390, when reports began flickering in that the Independence-A hadn't been destroyed, first recorded by Kolk, and later from [[Starbase 118 Ops|Starbase 118]] when sightings of what was termed a "ghost ship" that randomly appeared now and again, matching the description of the Independence. To the day, no one has been able to confirm or deny if it is the Independence-A, as it appears briefly after a lighting storm in space, then vanishes within a following lighting storm. | |||
