Background
On the lush and beautiful planet of Betazed, the young Kante Soho was born. Sadly, that’s where the lush and beautiful part ended. Family ties and agreements made before his birth ensured a life far from that of the wondrous planet he was lucky to be born upon. Instead, young Kante and his family were stationed at Starbase 34, close to the Sol system. His father, a talented Engineer, worked on systems engineering on the Starbase while his mother worked as a Botanist, tasked with propagating native species form other worlds to grow int he biomes aboard the station.
Kante was always a curious child, eager to learn and to pursue any kine of inquiry whenever he found his questions (and there were many) answered with an unsatisfactory answer. This curiosity and passion led him to Starfleet Academy, his parents glad for a moments peace once he was accepted. Young Kante found he was really intrigued by the workings of the mind and nature itself and where he fell short on helm and engineering classes, he excelled in those of Science, Biology and Xenology.
Just a few years later, the boy, almost a man, found himself as one of the well respected students of Starfleet Medical’s training wing as a Psychologist, Scientist and eager student. Reporting to Starbase 118, the cadet faced an uncertain but exciting future and he had his mind set on becoming something great.
