Born to Charles and Elizabeth Haught, He became the first member of his family to enter Starfleet, being accepted into the academy on his nineteenth birthday. He recieved fairly average grades, barely passing some classes. But was noted to have exceptional attention to detail. Just lacking the will to make use of it. His younger brother followed suit, attending the academy two years after Augustus.
