Background
- Standardized testing showed Arthur to be adept in military tactics, and Arthur was moved from normal school to the academy on Ekos at the age of 18. Competent enough to do well, Arthur was not 'fierce' enough for the Ekosian High Command, unwilling to execute a fellow student without evidence of wrongdoing. Despite this one failure, High Command had invested 3 years into Arthur, and since the current Ekosian liaison to the Federation was retiring, Arthur was commanded to join the Federation, since he would fit in with the Federation's sanctity for human life.
- For the next 3 years, Arthur focused on his studies, affectionately, and sometimes not so affectionately, being called Arthur 'Regs' Baker. For his final exam, Arthur and the other senior cadets were assigned to the USS Centris-A, to test their readiness for becoming officers of the Federation.
