History
Born the son of an Invernian administrator, a fairly important man in the grand scheme of Invernian politics, Vash was afforded the best education as he grew up on Ha'aijosa, and he took to the academic side of Invernian life well. He even went as far as to study some of the introductory courses from the Starfleet Academy (mainly those on physics, astrogation and astrology). His father, having never left the Invernian system (which is quite rare, but not unheard of. for Invernians) decided to send his son to Starfleet, in the hopes that his inquisitive, academic nature would mesh well with the Starfleet's mission of exploration and lead to his son becoming one of the great men in Invernian history and possibly even discovering the fabled Josainari - the ancestors of the Invernian race.
At the academy, Vash majored in Helm, especially the astrogation, astronomy and physics credits. His minor was in Engineering (including Warspace Theory and Subspace Mechanics) and also took some extra credits in Sciences that interested him. As a result of all his study, his social skills are somewhat lacking, and while physically not unfit, he is by no means strong or virile.
