This came into play when the Avandar crashed onto the planet Eden, though a few marines died and others were injured, they were instrumental in setting up a safe zone around the crashed ship. [[Oumriel, Beornan|2nd LT Beornan Oumriel]] managed to set up the marine defence turrets with support from [[Rawlings, Griffon|Griffon Rawlings]], forming a secure perimeter. Kagran ordered [[Evans Dustin|Sgt Major Evans Dustin]] to take a group of marines up to a ridge over-looking the only known way into the valley the ship crashed into.

After some time had passed since the crash, the marine teams had helped set up other areas of the camp and worked closely with other officers. While on this mission Kagran got to know [[Eerie|Lt. Commander Eerie]] a lot better and they started to build a good bond with one another. During this mission Kagran was betrayed by one of his top marines - [[Oumriel, Beornan|2nd LT Beornan Oumriel]] Kagran did on multiple occasions try to hunt down the mutineer, leaving the camp for days at a time.

When the crew woke up back on the ship Kagran was still full of rage over the betrayal but tried not to show it. Once the crew discovered what had happened to them peoples feelings towards one another changed. Kagran decided that he was not sure either way so he gave [Oumriel, Beornan|2nd LT Beornan Oumriel]] a second chance to earn back his trust.
