History

Personal History

Born on Sarasvati II to two terraforming scientists, Gregory (ecology) and Vanessa (geology and climatology). Clara grew up in a close family unit with three younger sisters. Well socialized with the twelve other families also residing on Sarasvati II.

Clara was raised loosely in the faith known as Hinduism and is deeply spiritual and greatly connected to nature. She has had trouble all her life reconciling the natural with the technological, sometimes yearning for a simple existence off the map and being completely self-sufficient and sometimes preferring the comforts of modern society. Life is sacred and she abhors killing, but accepts that it may be necessary. Although willing to try anything once, she is usually a vegetarian.

Originally wanting to continue her parents' work on Sarasvati II, Clara began considering Starfleet in her 18th year as a way to challenge her perceptions and experience all life had to offer. She continued assisting the Terraforming of Sarasvati II for three years to before committing herself to Starfleet. She received mixed reactions from her various family members.
