-Born into luxury by 24th century standard, she married Sidney Wilde for love and had two children. When she was younger she wanted to be a fashion designer but she took a position at the Diplomatic Corps because she 'had the hots' for the Betazoid Ambassador. Over the years she climbed the ranks to Federation Liaison and later full Ambassador. She enjoys the social life her role provides for her, and for a spry 60-something year old - is very ignorant to the fact that she is loud and embarrassing. She spends a lot of time off-world, which she enjoys but she tends to miss her husband after a while. It is rumoured that she is very promiscuous whilst off-world, and while the stories have never been corroborated, she tends to play up her reputation. She enjoys the company of younger men, especially First Officers, citing them to be 'Her Favourites'. Notable victims to Joanna's attentions have been Commander [[Kare'en m'Hapron m'Adrina |Kare'en]] of the [[USS Independence]], later Captain of the [[USS Wallace]], and Lt.Commander [[Chen, Takashi|Takashi Chen]] of the [[USS Ursa Major]]. On Stardate 238001.11 she forced a Medical Officer on the Independence to break Doctor-Patient Confidentiality regarding her son's medical health - a move which the Diplomatic Corps took very seriously. As a result, she was demoted to Federation Liaison (other consequences were never revealed, but are implied). A few years later she returned with her Ambassadorial rank restored.
