103rd Marine Search & Rescue Squadron

The 103 SAR Squadron on the USS Gemini consists of three officers and nine NCOs, enabling the Gemini to deploy up to three teams of four. When not deployed on missions, the marine members of the 103rd work within the established departments aboard the Gemini -- i.e. marine medics work in sickbay under the direction of the CMO, marine pilots work in the Operations department as shuttle pilots and helmsmen, etc.

It should also be noted that despite having a Marine SAR Ops team aboard, the Gemini's regular crew can and will be called upon to form part of any SAR operational deployment.
