Cadet sh'Voria was born and raised on Andoria and spent a large part of her life fascinated by the stars. Every year, when the surface of Andoria got slightly warmer, her family would go to the surface to watch the stars. As a child, she strived to be able to travel among them, but knew that it was unlikely to happen. Still, she worked hard in school, but only receiving average grades in her classes. Having been rejected for the academy, sh'Voria gave up, but was encouraged to try again. Taking another year of schooling on Andoria, she finally achieved high enough grades to be accepted into the academy.
During her studies in the Academy, she sacrificed much of her social life for studying. She couldn't give up now that she was so close to the stars. Majoring in Astronomy and minoring in mathematics, she finally succeeded. Her first cruise in the stars was scheduled on the USS Centris-A and she hoped that she would be good enough to graduate.
