Nav box

Hi, I replaced the Nav box on Aurora's page. The one you edited is actually a generic model made by User:Sky Blake for you and others to copy the code and paste when you make a NEW Nav box template for your character. The new Nav box is Template:JamesAuroraNav. I also changed the colors to match science blue. –Rich(talk page) aka Lt.Cmdr. Rahman/MCpt. Kadosh 19:50, 11 December 2013 (CST)

No worries! It's the only way to learn. In general, though, just be cautious about editing a very generically named page or template as chances are it's named that way because it's being used generically/widely by others as well. Also, you can sign your messages on talk pages by adding four tildes ~~~~ at the end. –Rich(talk page) aka Lt.Cmdr. Rahman/MCpt. Kadosh 19:58, 11 December 2013 (CST)

On a different note, I'm happy that someone's found it and decided to use the templates! XD Sky Blake (talk) 19:49, 21 January 2014 (CST)

User Page

Sure thing. The plan to follow I'd say is to just start small and work from there. I started my user page as if it were a character page (thus, the stats section and the service record table). I slowly then modified tables and sections as needed to fit me the writer rather than one of my characters.

An easy way you could start is just copy and past your character's bio into your user page but then just edit it for you now instead of Skyfire. –Rich(talk page) aka Lt.Cmdr. Rahman 14:30, 9 February 2014 (CST)

NPC Roster Template

I can't seem to recreate the problem: User:Rich/Sandbox

Can you describe the problem in more detail? –Rich(talk page) aka Lt.Cmdr. Rahman 16:52, 3 March 2014 (CST)

Template

That looks great. I'll be able to customize it As i choose - Thank you Sky :) Lieutenant Alexander Richards (talk) 08:35, 8 March 2014 (CST)

Just to say, taking the templates from your sandbox, I've gotten them onto both my character page and my user page. Thank you again for your help - Rob (aka Alex Richards) Lieutenant Alexander Richards (talk) 11:48, 8 March 2014 (CST)

LOA listing

Hi there! Saw that you added a LOA listing for the Excalibur. To change the style of the roster for LOA listings, simply add LOA before the officer listing and the person will become a LOA listing with a darker background. Put these LOA officers under the new division labeled LOA.:

|{{hr|LOA}}
|{{LOA|Lieutenant JG|Alden|Cuthbert|Gold|LOA began 239103.26|CuthbertAvatar.jpg|STYLE=Slanted}}
Insignia Rank/Title Portrait Character Name Duty Post
Leave of Absence

Lieutenant JG

Cuthbert

LOA began 239103.26

When the officer returns, simply remove LOA before their rank and put them back up in the division (command, medical, science, etc) that they belong. You can also change their assignment posting to instead a note of when their LOA began as seen above. More instructions on how to use Template:Roster are available here.

Done. Thanks, Rich. I don't know how I missed that the first time. Chythar Daniel Skyfire (talk) 19:49, 26 March 2014 (CDT)

No worries. Remember, though, you need to reply to messages on the other person's talk page, not your own, for them to get a notice that you sent them a message. :) Unless of course they stalk the recent changes page like me. –Rich(talk page) aka Lt.Cmdr. Rahman 21:01, 26 March 2014 (CDT)
I'd like to weigh in here (just quickly), but stalking the Recent Changes page is both fun and educational. Just like to point that out. ;D Sky Blake (talk) 22:09, 26 March 2014 (CDT)
