103rd Search and Rescue Squadron: Difference between revisions

The 103 SAR Squadron on the USS Drake consists of three officers and nine NCOs, enabling the Drake to deploy up to three teams of four.  When not deployed on missions, the marine members of the 103rd work within the established departments aboard the Drake -- i.e. marine medics work in sickbay under the direction of the CMO, marine pilots work in the Operations department as shuttle pilots and helmsmen, etc.

It should also be noted that despite having a Marine SAR Ops team aboard, the Drake's regular crew can and will be called upon to form part of any SAR operational deployment.
