SD 2366 - Emergency Operation

This is my first report after conducting a psychological evaluation on Lieutenant Adam W. Haase. I called him to my office, shortly after the Atlantis crew learned of its decommissioning, to have a small “chat” with him. Lt. Haase never appeared to be the type of person to be nervous around counselors, but in this instance he was, which I believed to be an effect of our recent mission. Upon entering my office, he seemed very relaxed and eager to converse. From what I’ve seen and heard he’s a very talented member of the crew, and his credentials are extraordinary.

Originally, I was only interested in discussing how he was dealing with the decommission and the after effects of the “bug incident” but our conversation took a slight turn and I began to see a new side of Lt. Haase that I had not seen before. He informed me of his cautionary feeling towards Starfleet Intelligence and how he began to feel like he could not trust anyone. Professionally, Adam is an innocent and hardworking officer who I genuinely respect, and to hear this, I also began to consider his thoughts. I will admit some of his statements seemed to be borderline xenophobic towards Starfleet Intelligence, but I could tell these accusations were only out of fear, and I personally do not believe he feels this way.

I would also like to note that Adam has experienced a somewhat enhancement in his telepathy due to his experience following the “bug incident”.

In conclusion, I am pleased to report that Lieutenant Adam Haase is psychologically healthy enough to continue his duties in Starfleet.
