His father's side of the family are from Portugal, on the south east end of Europe. His grandfather, Jonas, he was a teacher and is still an historian with some published works, mainly about portuguese and european history. He could trace the Silveira family tree back to the early 19th century. His grandmother is a retired teacher also but of physics. The country farm, on which Vitor spent most of his hollidays, become their permanent residence after they retired from teaching. | |||
