We should have wiki officers for each crew. At least one wiki officer per crew, that way, we would be able to coordinate with each other, and everything would be updated! We would live in a perfect wiki world were Crew History pages are all kept in date! Were Master Crew rosters and Face Lists aren't a complete mess from out-of-dateness!

If you see '''NC''' as noted reason for a page move, it's likely that I've moved a page that doesn't conform to our [[Naming pages properly|standard naming practices]] - often this is because it's using the old [Surname, Given name] format, other times it's simply because a page name is either misleading, too long, or players looking for it wouldn't find it very easily.


Better yet, we should really come up with a whole new wiki team. Make sure that this stuff is updated. [[User:Rich|Rich]], you wiki overlord, you! We need a team!

This is short hand for "lacking categories", meaning I've likely added the [[Template:Lacking categories|Lacking categories]] template because I'm unable to determine an appropriate category for the page or image I've come across.

Length. Pages with [[Template:Expansion needed]] are long enough to be sufficient on their own, but may be expanded upon with new information from each ship (if you've encountered a species from the ILI for example, you can go ahead and add this new information so long as you reference what sim that information comes from).

If I've gone ahead and added [[Template:stub]] to a page, it is lacking information regarding the topic or is simply too short (only one or two sentences long) to be it's own specific page right now. You can edit a page to add more information, and therefore remove <nowiki>{{stub}}</nowiki> from the top of the page.

Difficulty.
 
Pages with [[Template:Categorize]] just need basic, easy to find categories to bring them in line with every other page like them. Think of these pages as being Categorization Training - Easy Mode.
 
Pages with [[Template:Lacking categories]] have content so obscure or unique that at the time of adding the template, I lacked credible categories to put on them. Think of these pages as part of Categorization Training - Hard Mode. That's why there's a wiki event and [[Player achievements/Wiki Events|player achievement]] for adding categories to a certain number of these pages. Because I know they're not as easy to find categories for.

This needs to be changed so your page can be linked through the roster templates (and its easier for your fellow simmers to include the page in their bios).
 
All simmers whom have a user account on our wiki can move their pages - this can be done by clicking the '''move''' tab next to ''history'' (for power users/administrators, this is next to the ''delete'' button - ''please don't accidentally delete pages''). Enter your characters name in the correct format, be sure to tick "Move subpages" assuming you have the option, and the wiki will move your page to the correct title, leaving a redirect behind.
 
Note, if you untick the "Leave a redirect behind" box, there may be redlinks on other pages if you're a returning player.
