With the ordeal of Burellion and the virus afflicting the telepaths dealt with, the crew of the [[USS Blackwell]] would enjoy a little down time before reaching Arndall and the front of the Valcarian-Caraadian conflict. However, it would be with a different command staff, as [[Renos| Admiral Renos]] needed to return to Deep Space 26. He would be accompanied by [[Captain Zaekia]], as the virus had profoundly affected the Captain requiring a leave of absence on the Kaelan homeworld.
