 For three years Nugra headed the elite Defenders of the Egg, the royal body guards of the royal family and highest political leaders. It was this position, that he learned of the planned coup of the government. For the last remaining years, Nugra worked with the loyal Gorns against the Black Claw to mass a fleet that was to be used when the Black Claw attempted their attack.
 Unknown to the loyalists, Senior Master (Fed: Rear Admiral) Tre'vek had sold out the their plans and his Princess. The first battle of the Civil War began in 2385. Though the Loyalist Fleet was successful, the damage plus the lack of surprise crippled their chances of stopping the hostile take over.
-The Gorn Civil War raged until the fall of 2388. The Battle of the Singularity was the last defining point. With the Loyalist broken, the Princess murdered in her sleep by her treacherous body guards, Nugra was captured.
-Nugra's life was saved though when a special was released on the Gorn News Service of Nugra's exploits for Princess and Nation. He garnered so much popular support on his journey home to Ss'Varnon that the New Gorn Alliance simply banished him forever from their land as executing him would destroy the feeble hold they held.
-Lost, no home to speak of, and all his friends dead, Nugra Tk'Moong returned to the Federation. Thanks to his past history and good marks, Star Fleet Intelligence clearance, he was cleared to re-join the Fleet.
