Later once he and Lael had rejoined the Captain in the garden maze they encountered a wounded Walter Brunsig having been shot by an era specific firearm. Given the limited technology they had at the time, a result of being locked in the holodeck, Jansen managed to stop the wound bleeding and then cauterized the wound until they could get somewhere else.

With his health firmly in place, Jansen returned to the fleet and found himself posted to the USS Veritas and surrounded by several old friends and fast making new ones, in the newest form of his Starfleet family.
Flashpoint
Joining the crew of the Veritas, Jansen joined the crew on the bridge during the destruction of the Aretmis. Returning to his once held position of the Helm piloting the Veritas, hauling Tholian ships with them warping them away from the shockwave. Once the Tholians had departed he also piloted the ship to recover Tasnim Shandres, and Geoffrey Teller.
Limbo
Jansen was spending time with his friend Raissa Moonsong when the call to abandon the Veritas came. The pair made their way to an escape pod that also held Tasnim Shandres, Dante Vanlith, and Aramantha Payne. Once the pod was away it experienced the same equipment failure that the rest of the sabotaged pods did falling roughly, but safely to the moon that would be dubbed Limbo.
On planetfall Raissa went into labor and Jansen delivered Natalia Moonsong. The quintet spent some time on the shore where they landed, Jansen's time at home in the bayous of Louisiana had helped provide some of the skills that proved useful including fishing that he shared with Tasnim. After some time the group found their way to the rest of the crew where Jansen took up not only his position of Counselor, but also organizing the Mess tent.
Dawn
As a portion of the group departed to hopefully find other survivors Jansen added the medical tent to his responsibilities in the New Risa Resort and Spa camp. During the build up to their return to the ship, Jansen took over the majority of the daily operations of the camp while the smaller teams focused on more specialized teams.
Home
Enjoying his time back on Earth with his family, the main enjoyment of his shoreleave was a dinner party Jansen held with Raissa and Natalia Moonsong, Wil Ukinix, as well as G'var at his home. He also spent time in Minnesota with the Moonsong family, but was more than ready to return to duty with the rest of the Veritas crew in space, where he felt he belonged.
Sentinel
With tensions still high after the destruction of Astrofori One, Veritas is sent back to the Menthar Corridor to investigate the sudden disappearance of a Tholian fleet. One of the most inventive things Counselor Orrey saw was the use of the upper nacelles of the Veritas as a crossbow to disable the advancing fleet of AI controlled ships.
Play the Part
The debut of The Stinger. A gift that arrived at Jansen's home through mysterious means, that the Counselor decides to use as his duty sidearm and therefore needs to meet Starfleet requirements. That could also be used as a chance to have the Veritas engineering team look it over for pitfalls from the Giver.
The First Colony
A murdered Starfleet officer on Ketar V brings the crew in to investigate while rising political tensions threaten to ignite the colony. The Counselor was responsible for a light amount of interrogation of the suspects at the Shipyard the victim worked with.
Tour de Ketar V
Jansen pitched in with CEO Geoffrey Teller to help the Romulan refugee population to recover from a botched Felicium raid conducted by the CCMS during the previous mission.
Charybdis
With a class of schoolchildren aboard on a field trip during a regional starship race, Veritas falls through a hidden wormhole into a pocket of seemingly empty subspace only to discover that they may not be alone.
Lost and Found
After the last few missions much of this leave was spent by Jansen attending to the crew through his position as Counselor. Trying to help as much as he could with the different traumas and experiences.
E Pluribus Unum
Federation Security of the Exterior Lily Ventu arrives on Ketar V to help mediate talks between the Romulan refugee community and the native colonists as they work on a plan forward for the troubled First Colony.
Free Flight
Pirates of the Quantum Realms
After a series of brazen pirate attacks, Veritas is tasked to find the perpetrators who seemingly vanish each time they're about to be caught.
Forever and Always
This shore leave saw the crew of the Veritas come together for the wedding of Jansen and Raissa. Orrey and Moonsong set the wedding ceremony in a Louisiana, Earth location on the Veritas holodeck. G'Var, returned to serve as Moonsong's Maid of Honor. Meanwhile, Wil Ukinix, stood beside Orrey as his Best Man. As the procession began, Chief of Security Commander Kelrod walked Moonsong down the aisle to exchange their vows as Captain Roshanara Rahman officiated the ceremony.

Joining the Juneau as the Executive Officer was a huge boon to Jansen. It was a step in the right direction for him in regard to his career goals and a chance to further explore the universe with his new wife Raissa Moonsong
Cloak and Dagger
The Crew of the Juneau sets out to investigate a series of attacks on merchant ships at the behest of Lightside Station officials.

Visitors in the Night
The crew of the Juneau is investigating a black hole circling a quasar, when probes pick up evidence of a derelict vessel on the verge of being pulled in. Closer inspection shows it to be a pair of vessels, a large vessel of unknown origin and a smaller but still large Mithgiln vessel.
<h3></h3>
After the transfer back to Earth and the Federation Diplomatic Corp, Jansen was happily assigned to the new Amity Outpost deep in the Delta Quadrant. Both away from the old worries of Federation Space and deep into another chance at finding himself out in the black.
Amicitia Vera Illuminat
Newly designated Federation Ambassador Rivi Vataix arrives aboard Amity Outpost to take charge of the Federation’s latest diplomatic outreach to the Delta Quadrant. The USS Thor is tasked with transporting the ambassador and her staff to the outpost.
Providence
In their first Diplomatic Mission, the crew of Amity Outpost, under the direction of Chief of Mission Rivi Vataix, made contact with The Hawlat. A nomadic culture, who travel the stars following a large herd of space-borne creatures they refer to as “Angels”, the Hawlat are deeply religious and devoted to the creatures. Following some run-ins with local mining operations, safety concerns are raised for both the creatures and for the miners that threaten to spiral into a diplomatic situation.
An Eye For An Eye
Amity faces a diplomatic crisis when word reaches the public that the widely-despised Vidiians have been invited to participate in a Federation-hosted scientific exhibition. Concurrently, the Outpost prepares to host the Antarian Class Rally - a high-speed race with equally-high tensions amongst the participants. While trying to work out a mutually-agreeable solution, a series of emergencies rock the station and everyone's capabilities are pushed to the limit.
House of Mirrors
Amity's resident Defiant Class vessel, the USS Independence-B becomes trapped within a mysterious spatial anomaly. The crew must scramble to repair the ship and escape the gravity well they have found themselves mired in - only they are not alone within the 'sinkhole'. Meanwhile, the Kitty Hawk - under the command of Captain Roshanara Rahman - undertakes a rescue operation that will prove unexpectedly divisive.
Protocols
A joint colony-building mission between three Betazoid Noble Houses, Amity Outpost, and the USS Kitty Hawk, takes a sudden turn when they learn their destination world is not only inhabited by sentient-like bacteria, but that it has been deemed a dangerous failed experiment by the Trenvonn. An isolationist species dedicated to the scientific pursuit of enlightenment, the Trenvonn warn that the planet is infected by a deadly plague and cut off the crews on the surface, threatening their lives and providing a new diplomatic challenge for those in orbit.
<h3></h3>
There was a heavy weight on Jansen as his work on Amity continued. It finally resulted in him discovering that some of the sheen and luster had worn away from the shining combadge of his memory as the weight of years settled on his shoulders. More over it left him disappointed in himself.
<h3></h3>
Asked by the FDC to return to Amity as a civilian to facilitate Ikaia Wong's graduation to a full doctor and complete medical officer, Jansen has returned to his home away from home as an outsider for the first time.
