After Operation Sea Devil Groznin was transferred to the [[USS Astraeus]]. While on the Astreaus he rekindled an old friendship with [[Sheila Bailey]]. This was short lived though. After just one mission with the ship which involved a first contact, The Astraeus was decommissioned and Groznin along with Nova were transferred off the ship together. | |||
During transit to their new posting they encountered a subspace rift which pulled Groznin into it pulling him across the Galaxy onto the [[USS Veritas]]. Being pulled onto another ship instead of being sent to his original transfer Groznin was transferred to the Veritas with Nova following him later on. After being on the Veritas for a little bit and without Nova, Groznin took a LOA to try and regain his thoughts and get himself back on track after the trauma of being pulled through a subspace rift. Eventually Nova was able to return and after a few months Groznin returned from his LOA and took active duty on the Veritas. | |||
Things soon deteriorated though. Things didn’t get much better for Groznin and he had to take an extended leave of absence from Starfleet. Nova got a position on Earth at the Daystrom Institute so Groznin went with her as she continued her work. | |||
