Stats

  • Full Name:Reina Armand
  • Race: Terran

  • Age: 34
  • Gender:Female

Appearance

  • Height: 5'9"

  • Eye Color: Green
  • Skin Tone: Moderately fair
  • Birthmarks, Scars: Scar from right knee surgery
  • Build:slight
  • Face:oval
  • Carriage: Gracefully Confident
  • Taste in Clothing:
    • As a politician, she's always on duty. She tries her best to look polished and put together and appropriate for the occasion. Often she wears a suit that flatters her figure. She prefers pants to skirts, particularly during the day for the mobility that pants give, but looks stunning in an evening gown when an event calls for it.
    • ALWAYS wears gloves. "Officially" because she doesn't want dust to contaminate things. Unofficially because she greatly distrusts touch telepaths.
      • She has a whole drawer of neatly organized gloves, with a selection wide enough to be appropriate for any occasion and to go well with any outfit in her wardrobe. They include gloves of varying lengths (ending at the wrist, the forearm, just below the elbow and above the elbow), fabrics, and colors.
    • Favorite coat is a nicely tailored, knee-length black trench coat.
  • Shoes:Appropriate to the outfit. Tends to shy away from heels (considers herself quite tall enough)
  • Voice: alto.
  • Handedness: right

Manner

  • Favorite Room: study
  • Mannerisms:
    • Prefers inclining her head in a quasi-bow to a Terran-style handshake whenever possible.
    • Often clasps her hands behind her back when standing.
  • Hobbies and Pasttimes:
    • studies microexpressions and gestures. Has become quite good at telling, simply from visual cues, a person's emotions and most particularly when a person is lying.
    • Yoga. Favorite position is the Child's Pose.
  • Likes:
    • coffee - black with sugar
    • Big Band Music from mid 20th century Earth
    • prefers paper and pen for note-taking, planning, etc. to PADDs, particularly for her own secrets, because she feels she has more control over it. In her mind, there's less chance of leaks. Has a safe she keeps these documents in and burns them when she feels finished with them. Uses PADDs for normal business.
  • Dislikes:
    • Distrusts telepaths and empaths.

Personal History

Reina comes from a family of politicians. Her Grandfather, Father, and brother were all chief Judges on Wheeler colony. When the Pearson Corporation abandoned the colony, her grandfather stayed behind to establish a ruling council. That attempt soon failed, plunging the capital city of Separ into chaos, and threatening to pull the entire colony down with it. Her grandfather, distressed at the situation, took control and restored order with his own iron will. Although some of his actions were unethical by Federation standards, his tactics worked and Wheeler survived. Following her Grandfather's death, her Father inherited the reigns. Both were considered excellent politicians and good rulers.

After her father's ascent to power, he sent Reina off-world to receive the best education the Federation could offer. She was groomed from early on to be the next in line, particularly since she was nearly ten years older than her younger brother. When her father died prematurely during an influenza outbreak, her brother was the only one left on the Colony to assume power. Although some of the senior advisors and aids wished to contact Reina and bring her home, her brother, who now wielded absolute power forbid them from doing so.

While off-world, Reina was well trained privately by some of the best politicians in the quadrant. She learned quite a few skills that are rather useful for a politician and diplomat to have in her bag of tricks.

After the crew of the Independence aboard the USS Hammond deposed her brother, established the ruling council, and placed Tully Andromeda as the Chief Administrator, Reina was able to return home. She has spent the last several years making the necessary plays, promises, and perhaps even threats, to be appointed Chief Administrator by the ruling council.
