Mac met Alix at the Academy. They had a couple of classes together. Alix politely rebuffed Mac's romantic pursuits a few times, never giving him a reason. They completed final training simulation together and graduated Starfleet together before being assigned to the same posting on Denali Station.  

Mac and Madison dated for the last two years of their time at Starfleet Academy. During that time, they became very close. Due to them being assigned to different stations, and the difficulties that long distance relationships in Starfleet come with, they decided to amicably break off their romantic relationship. Mac and Madison are still on good terms.

 

Alex was the first friend Mac made when he arrived at Denali Station. They work together in the joint Tactical/Security office, and they both share a love of older Earth films.{{Heading|Family|Gold}}
