Gila first met Ensign Lorana in the ''Artemis''’ Sickbay, when Lorana checked on her roommate who'd gotten hurt on the prior mission. Gila was part of a small group guided by the Caitian Ensign to the Institute of Art, where Gila had the dubious honor of meeting Luxa's mother, M'aris Lorana. During the unvoiced altercation, Gila felt an underlying kinship with the ostracized Luxa, and while they haven't had time to touch base since the Caitian’s transfer to the [[USS Ronin]], Gila remains in contact, partially because of the strange affection Luxa’s mother has for her.

They haven't had time to touch base since the Luxa’s transfer to the {{nwhite|USS Ronin}}, but Gila keeps her in her thoughts. Black Sheep have to stick together, after all.
