He doesn't understand the fear of spiders, bugs, or reptiles, because Aurelians keep absolutely huge tarantulas as pets where he's from among other unexpected pets like large bats that eat fruit, but don't always remember their own strength when taking the food from people. And they have sharp teeth, so it is painful sometimes. But he thinks those creatures are beautiful and baby talks to them as easily as he does the pets he's met over the years from other cultures. Various forms of taxidermy are present in various Aurelian decor as well, and he thinks those things are neat, too. Not that you would know that about him outright unless he told you. | ||

They communicate so effectively that they've never had a conflict that couldn't be resolved amongst themselves. Usually, a family conflict is solved within a day or two. And any conflict that lasts longer is worked on to find a good solution whenever it's possible. He will give anyone the benefit of the doubt even if that's naive, even if what someone has said to him is harmful.
