Arrival On Board and the USS Unity (239707.21 - 239709.14)
Genkos arrived on the Resolution as it was docked at Starbase 118. He first of all tinkered with his office, decorating it just the way he liked it, and settling into his quarters. Summoned, like the rest of the crew, to the shuttlebay, Genkos watched the new crew chatting and getting along, before listening intently to Captain Nicholotti's welcoming speech with an appraising ear. Her speech done, he was approached by the First Officer Addison MacKenzie who gave him a bottle of sapphire wine that Jo Marshall had told her he was partial to. He headed to the Bridge for the first time, catching up with Kudon, who he had trained, and watching as the ship cleared spacedock. It was a rather emotive experience for them all, and Genkos then found himself in conversation with Meidra Sirin the counsellor. He walked her down to Sickbay, and left her to settle in. He was soon visited by Yogan Yalu who was there for his medical exam, and Shara zh'Vranni, for much the same.
Genkos was overwhelmed by a strong sense of loneliness, and met with Adriana Morgan and Meidra to discuss the psychic presence they'd all felt. Morgan and Genkos headed to the bridge to share their discovery with the Captain. They soon discovered the Unity, and that the strong feelings were emanating from the vessel. With MacKenzie's discovery of the bodies of the crew of the Unity, Genkos prepared the cargo bay for their autopsies with zh'Vranni, but was interrupted by the Unity's opening fire on the Resolution. Genkos hurried to sickbay to deal with the wounded, none of whom were seriously injured. Sirin then came up with the bright idea of doling out neuroblockers to the crew with psychic persuasion, and together they worked on that. He then treated zh'Vranni for a twisted wrist, and Jamie MacNemar for radiation exposure. He then headed back to the cargo bay with T'Suran to carry out the autopsies, but unfortunately the environmental controls were on the fritz and were causing it to snow. He was almost immediately recalled to Sickbay for a medical emergency with Kudon, who had fallen unconscious in an attack by the Unity. Upon awaking, Kudon ignored Genkos' requests for him to remain in bed, but instead stormed off to the Bridge, although Genkos had him escorted back by security personnel. Kudon was then most apologetic and explained his actions in a conversation in Genkos' office, opening up to the CMO about some past trauma
Shore Leave on Starbase 118 (239709.14 - 239710.01)
A short shore leave on Starbase 118 involved a delightful conversation with Addison MacKenzie in the Observation Lounge. They bonded over a bottle of sapphire wine; discussing their careers, backgrounds and their shared ex, a Mr. Xerix. Later, he had a subspace call from his old friend Cory Stoyer. They made up after Cory's actions on Væron, and then discussed Genkos' transfer, which had been a surprise to the bearded human. This was followed by an awards ceremony in one of Starbase 118's extensive holodecks, a barbeque in the shadow of Earth's Golden Gate Bridge
Mission - Come What May (239710.01 - 239711.17)
After the initial briefing, Genkos was paired with Shara zh'Vanni to carry out research on this unfamiliar species, the Da'al. They were later joined by the Captain, who was checking in on their progress. On arriving at Da'al, Genkos was present in Sickbay when they were fired upon by a rogue Klingon warbird piloted by Da'al terrorists Wyse & Anselm. His leg was punctured in the rocking ship, and had to be deactivated. Despite T'Suran's protestations that it needed to be fixed as soon as possible, Genkos insisted he could work without it, as long as the pain receptors were switched off. With MacKenzie and Nicholotti leading away teams, Genkos was left in charge of the Resolution, and took his place on the bridge. It was a fairly quiet duty; keeping an eye on the Klingon warbirds in space and the Da'al military. Genkos' actions in keeping the Da'al military from starting a civil war were questioned by David Knight, who demanded to speak to Genkos in the Captain's Ready Room. After Genkos made it perfectly clear that he was in charge and that preventing a civil war on a warp-capable planet that had invited them was not a violation of the Prime Directive, he returned to the bridge, and waited for the Captain to return.
Shore Leave - Deep Space 224 (239711.17 - 239712.13)
Genkos began his shore leave with a counselling session with the admirable Meidra Sirin. They discussed his relationship with his father, and his fears about his own violent tendencies. He carried out medical evaluations on Melody Delri'ise, David Knight and Tai Ilsam. Later, in discussion with Addison MacKenzie, they decided to call in Geoffrey Teller to design and construct a new prosthetic leg for the good doctor. This was a lengthy process, although Genkos enjoyed the time with them both, and was more than a trifle amused when Teller decided to incorporate a sword into the prosthetic. However, they achieved miracles, and Genkos no longer walks with a cane or even with a pronounced limp. Returning to the Resolution after a brief recovery period in which he discovered that his mother was living on the starbase, he acted as a counsellor for Sirin, and her own issues with her family. He was present in the Resolution's sickbay when Callium Treetus was shot, and treated him for his injuries.  He later attended the awards ceremony on the starbase's observation deck, kicking things off with an intimate ballroom dance with the Captain.
Mission - The Saural Inquisition (239712.13 - 239831.01)
After attending a briefing about the current mission, Genkos prepared Sickbay with Meidra Sirin, T'Suran and Aine Sherlock. When the ship travelled through the Celendi Nebula, Genkos lost his balance and flew headlong into the deck plating. Dispatching T'Suran and Sherlock to deal with the injuries around the ship, he stayed with Sirin and took care of Sickbay, before being dispatched themselves to aid Gnaxac, who had a head injury on Deck Five. He was then called to join an away team with Sherlock, Addison MacKenzie, Callium Treetus and Tai Ilsam, beaming down to the Sau planet. The hot, humid jungle was thoroughly unpleasant to Genkos' mind, and after tripping over a trap and getting covered in mud, he was even more annoyed by it all. He particularly didn't enjoy crossing a fast-flowing river on a log, nor getting involved in several fierce firefights in the Sau compound. He definitely was in need of phaser retraining, but his medical skills were still honed; as he and Sherlock worked together to keep Treetus alive after the Engineer had his hand shot off saving MacKenzie. He managed to get the man out of the compound and back to the Resolution, replacing his arm with a prosthetic with the aid of T'Suran. They arrived back in the present full of relief.
Shore Leave - Vulcan (239802.01 - 239803.01)
Genkos opened his shore leave with the visiting of Aine Sherlock to Sickbay. She had some insect bites from their trip to Saural V that needed tending to. This was followed by a visit by Tai Ilsam, who was suffering from acute headaches, possibly an after effect of their away mission. He then had the unconscious body of Captain Kalianna Nicholotti moved to one of the Medbays, and went to see Addison MacKenzie to update her on the Captain's progress, as well as to be a friend to her. He then returned to his quarters for a long night's rest. In the morning, he took Toto for a walk, popping his head into Sickbay to accept T'Suran's invitation to their family dinner. A few days later, he was assigned as the onboarding officer for the new science officer, Etan Iljor, and carried out his onboard medical exam. He was later approached by Yogan Yalu who asked Genkos if he would help Yogan in the zhian’tara ceremony. That evening Genkos met Meidra for a drink in the Observation Lounge for a chat and a catch-up. A few days later he carried out Rune Jolara's onboard medical exam, before taking Kalianna's body down to the surface of Vulcan so the Medical Academy could give her the very best care. He visited her room a few days later to find Addison MacKenzie there; they talked a bit about the Captain's health, the status of the ship as well as joining in a small prayer for Kalianna. He was present at T'Suran's family dinner, speaking with Iljor and helping to hand out the ribbons at an impromptu ceremony caused by the reawakening of their good Captain.
Mission - The Ties That Bind (239803.01 - 239804.08)
After an initial briefing in Addison MacKenzie's office, Genkos gathered his team of Hallia Yellir, Rune Jolara and Yogan Yalu to discuss methods of appeasing both the Nascaik and the Thama. They both were claiming ownership of the asteroid Vionus IV. He later headed to the surface with Yellir, Jolara and Etan Iljor (and they were later joined by Gar Nox) which lead to the discovery of a probe sent down by one of the species. Upon removing the memory core, they were brought back to the ship after one of the delegates, Ashal Koas had detonated a bomb in the middle of the talks. The Resolution then gave chase, and when they caught up with Koas, Genkos was put in charge of the away team to rescue Koas' hostage. He acted as the distraction, whilst Aine Sherlock, Tai Ilsam and Yogan grabbed the hostage. However, Koas blew herself up before Genkos could grab her, dying for her cause. This is still a part of Genkos that rues this inability to save.
Shore Leave - Deep Space 224 (239804.09 - 239805.05)
Shore leave began with Genkos zipping off to Trill with Yogan Yalu and a few others to participate in Yogan's Zhian’tara. Genkos was possessed by the spirit of Benim Yalu, a former host of the symbiont who was an investigative journalist, whose children and partner were killed in an assassination attempt on Benim. Upon returning to DS224, he was visited by Meidra Sirin in his office who unburdened herself of a depth of feeling about her family troubles. He returned to his quarters for dinner with Addison MacKenzie who was sharing his quarters after hers were blown up by Koas. They were later joined by Meidra Sirin who stayed for a drink after Addison went to bed. Tai Ilsam visited Genkos in his office, seeking to apologise for his actions in the last mission. Days later, his quiet shift was interrupted by an emergency in the gymnasium - Hamsan Dwich's arm had been broken by Meidra during a training exercise run by Aine Sherlock. After helping Nurse Nusin to begin treatment, he had a bit of a go at both Meidra and Aine, asking for full incident reports and telling them how disappointed he was. Hallia Yellir accompanied Genkos and Dwich back to Sickbay, and after Dwich was discharged, Hallia and Genkos discussed the toxic plants they had found during the last mission. Aine then came to apologise for said incident, which Genkos appreciated. He then had a surprisingly pleasant dinner / drinks evening with his mother and Rumi, the men joined together over Genkos' father's recent attempts to reconcile with Laxe.
Mission - Stranded (239805.06 - 239806.14)
After the Resolution was assigned to investigate the disappearance of the USS Hanno, Genkos was in charge of preparing Sickbay for the inevitable triage situation when they found the ship. Unfortunately, this was not needed as the ship crash landed on the planetoid in question, and Genkos was assigned to the away team to find any survivors. Along with Sirin, Sherlock and Etan, Genkos met with the Federation and Romulan survivors of several crashes, and then teamed up with Gabbro, a sympathetic member of the local Skarn race, to take down Arbelo, their vicious leader. Although it was Sherlock who blew up the cave containing this bloodthirsty xenophobe, Genkos had attempted a futile peaceful resolution. After this, Genkos returned to the ship, having sorted through the various wreckages for usable salvage material. It was then that he remembered poor Toto, and rushed to his quarters to find the dog injured in the corner of the room. Mercifully it wasn't too bad, and with Meidra's assistance, he was able to get the pup back on his feet.
Shore Leave - Deep Space 224 (239806.15 - 239607.20)
Having told several crewmen that if Yogan got them out of the Briar Patch in less than a few days, he would gift the man what was left of his sapphire wine, Genkos called the helmsman to his office to make that precise gift. This, of course, led to drinking and bonding and such, as Yogan quested to find out more about the good doctor's background. A brief trip into Sickbay provided a bonding moment with Hamsan, Morgan and Sladek, followed by a heart to heart with Etan Iljor. The Bajoran scientist was clearly in the midst of a dilemma, and although he was cagey about the details, it appeared that Genkos sharing details of his own life story helped clear the man's mind. He was also visited in his quarters by Meidra, who was having a crisis of conscience after having been asked to move in with Dwich. Shortly before he was due to head off on his survey mission, Genkos met with Kalianna in the arboretum, and one thing led to another and by the time they had parted, they had made dinner plans...
Visiting the Gorkon, Skarbek III (239803.23 - 239806.18)
Genkos met with his good friends Erin Reynolds and Jo Marshall on DS224, where they chatted about old times and new. Unbeknownst to him or anyone else, his recent survey mission had in fact gifted him with a psychic parasite. This creature, fed by Genkos' extreme emotional response to returning to the Gorkon, amplified Genkos' telepathy, drawing almost the entire crew of the ship back into the Skarbek universe, albeit this time, the one in Genkos' mind.
Shore Leave on Deluvia IV with the Gorkon (239806.19 - 239807.23)
Upon arriving at Deluvia, Genkos immediately checked himself into the N'Vea Mental hospital, suffering from intense depression, feelings of self-loathing, guilt as well as the return of the physical pains in his leg. He was visited by several people, including Jo and Erin, with whom he took a turn around the hospital's garden and told him how they did not hold any ill will, and Serren Tan, who introduced himself by trying to gain Genkos' absolution for the Trill's behaviour in the Skarbek universe. This was not forthcoming. After his release, and now reliant on a cane again for mobility, Genkos had a conversation with L'rann about M'rish, the Caitian's niece, who had also been trapped in Genkos' mind-prison. Apologising profusely, Genkos was relieved to hear the child merely believed it a particularly vivid dream, and reassured L'rann that she could parent the girl. Further along the beach, he visited Cory Stoyer's beach house, where Genkos tried, possibly in vain, to get Cory to admit his feelings for Ayiana were true in any universe he cared to mention, and that he should blooming well act on them. Genkos briefly met with the Gorkon's new medical officer, Mallora Vossti, who wished to interview him about his experiences, and then he attempted to make peace with Caedan Nkai in the lobby of a hotel.
Returning to the Resolution (239807.06-239807.20)
Returning to the Resolution was an emotional speedbump for Genkos, and he tried to utilise it as a moment to separate the past and the present. he may still have needed a cane, but the relationships he had on board were not, and would not be affected by the Skarbek journey. He channelled his energy into preparing a surprise party to celebrate Addison's promotion to Commander, after which he and Kalianna snuck off for a private, romantic moment.
Mission - Time in a Bottle (239807.21 - 239808.20)
Genkos began the time loop in Sickbay, each time starting in his office. He, Meidra Sirin and Hamsan Dwich were tasked with keeping Chof Nusin alive; the Bolian nurse's shattered lungs kept re-opening with every loop. They failed to save the nurse every time, and Genkos was devastated when the nurse practically begged to die and for the hope to stop. It was the aftermath of Nusin's final death, the permanent one, which has scarred the good doctor.
Shore Leave - Bajor and the USS Excalibur-A (239808.21 - 239809.17)
Shore leave opened with Genkos having to recuse himself from Kalianna's care; much to Addison's disappointment that they'd needed to hide it from her. Even so, he remained by her side for hours, taking palliative care of her if not medical. He was later visited by Meidra in his quarters, who wanted to clear the air after her reaction to Hamsan Dwich's memory loss. Once aboard the Excalibur-A, Genkos carried out another medical on Yogan Yalu, who remained concerned about the relationship between himself and his symbiont. One evening, Genkos and Kalianna had their first official date, dining out on the Excalibur's holodeck. The large ship was rather confusing however, and he got lost on one deck, mercifully being rescued by Matu. Once on Bajor, Genkos met with his old friend Arlo Thornton, who he had suggested for a science vacancy aboard the Resolution. Then he carried out another medical, this time for Silveira, and for McMullen. Later he sought out Addison to apologise to her for hiding his relationship with Kalianna. A long counselling session with Meidra followed, in which they talked about Nusin's death, his "adventure" aboard the Gorkon and his relationship with Kalianna. Then another medical for Baylen Anders. Arriving at the Gratitude Festival, Genkos bumped into Hallia Yellir, Meidra and Etan Iljor, before taking his part at Kalianna's side for the awards ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, Kalianna collapsed, and Genkos and Addison transported her to the Excalibur and back to DS224.
Mission - Cats Among the Pigeons (239809.18 - 239810.15)
Genkos, along with Vitor Silveira and Arlo Thornton, showed the chief scientist of Rinascita Station around the Resolution. Ben Rackham was seemingly charming and handsome, but when a ship uncloaked off the bow of the Resolution, he pulled a phaser on them. Trapping them behind a forcefield, they were forced to watch as Rackham brought the Genesis Device aboard. As the cloaked ship, revealed to be Suliban, fired upon the Resolution, the shield came down and Silveira savagely attacked Rackham. As Rackham died, he revealed himself to be Lt. Cmdr Wyke of Starfleet Intelligence, sent to infiltrate the Suliban infiltrators. Unfortunately he died before he could tell the crew how to turn off the Genesis Device, and so Genkos was forced to give the order to abandon ship. He watched in horror as the Resolution collided with a moon and the device detonated, causing a new planetoid to be born. They were eventually rescued from their escape pods by the USS Carpathia, who thankfully housed his new love, Kalianna Nicholotti.
Shore Leave - Risa (239810.16 - Present)
Genkos and Kalianna shared a hotel room during their time on Risa, and he was a main participant of both the inquiry into the Resolution's destruction (as run by his former CO, Quinn Reynolds) and Vitor Silveira's behaviour. He also spent some time with various members of the crew, talking through the aftermath of the Resolution's destruction, including his good friends Yogan Yalu, Etan Iljor and Meidra Sirin. His final action as acting CO of the Resolution's crew was to hand out promotions and awards at a memorial dinner for those who were lost... before getting promoted himself.
