Working with the engineering and science team, Ergaholz suggested containing the Gateway rather than destroying it. Once the plans were in place, he betrayed the Starfleet ship by destroying the science labs equipment and running (with as much grace as a sludgy silicon-based life form can...) away with a copy of the teams data. Lieutenant Serinus and Ensign Caden gave chase while Ensign Ander coordinated with security to erect forcefields to hinder the escapee.
