In the coding above, delete two of the headings so that only one remains. You can then type here as if you were writing on notepad to drop in some information about your character. If you want to use bullets, copy and paste the star above. You can also look on the forums and the wiki for tutorials on how to use more adventurous coding. Hawkins grew up in a working class environment. His father is a hands-on engineer, not a theorist or scholar. His mother, while functioning as an unofficial diplomat when the need arises, is a trader and a merchant at heart. Hawkins retains his roots in these down to earth values, and despite his advanced learning in science and engineering, still enjoys the simple pleasures of life.

{{Heading|Personality|Black}}
Strengths: Adaptability, Natural Problem Solver, Leadership Potential
Weaknesses: Underestimates himself, Self-Critical, Naive and Trusting

While Hawkins thrives under pressure with problems to solve, he doesn't know it. This causes him to second guess his actions and come down on himself hard for the tiniest mistakes. Helping run the ship while growing up, as well as acting in an a limited XO capacity on board his parents ship gives him the potential for command. Unfortunately due to still being naive and trusting, he is prone to miss clues to  that duplicity is at work and may quite easily be duped or taken advantage of. The breadth and depth of his unusually large amount of life experiences is mitigated by feeling inferior to people who have focused on the best way of doing things and honing that ability.

Starfleet training had a dramatic and lasting effect on some of his shortcomings, but they are still very much a part of him and may cause him difficulty while serving.

A gentleman in every way, he still carries on traditional ways of behaving around women. This has caused him more than one embarrassing moment that still dwell in his memory. As much as he'd like to change, and be more like his contemporaries, these habits are too hard to break. Once Hawkins decides you're a friend, you're his friend for life. He will set aside what he can to help, care for, and simply be there for his friends.

{{Heading|Chronological History|Black}}

Frank Hawkins spent his childhood and young adult life on board a trading ship, along with his parents and sister. The family traded in obscure ship parts mostly, for obsolete vessels, or ships with unconventional configurations, as well as scientific equipment. They explored a number of interesting cultures and regions. During his early teens, Hawkins developed a strong interest in space exploration. He also learned quite a bit about diplomacy from watching how his mother conducted herself, and some basic engineering from his father.
