Due to James' work in AI he also very much appreciates just how complex Pandora is as a program, if only he had had the chance to look at it... Pandora had, arguably, the greatest impact on his leadership style. After serving under her for a year, James had soon adopted the same expectations of a excellent level of standards as she does. He also inherited several other features from her, such as her reluctance to spend time away from areas that need her, i.e. The warp core comes before paperwork. | |||

Despite knowing little about the man personally, James has a deep respect for him as a CO and trusts him implicitly. James always admired Rogers' willingness to as much leeway as needed. Like Raj, he listened to everyone's opinions before acting however, as shown during James' time undercover, when he had to act he did so without hesitation. He was also responsible for granting James many of the opportunities that made him the officer he is today. Because of him, James always tries to give those under him the room they need to complete the task on their own, without him prescribing the course of action - this has led James to even be surprised at how well someone has exceeded his expectations. | |||
