They were a study in contrasts and considered a good balance for each other, the serious Golic woman and the philosophical Nel Gathic man. That contrast initially caused a great attraction but later their cultural differences caused a significant divide. Sirenya's bond-mate was killed in a shuttle accident in 2385 and she chose not to seek another at that time. The two were reunited briefly when Saveron returned to Vulcan for family and more personal reasons in 2389, but chose not to bond or further their relationship as Sirenya would not leave Vulcan and Saveron would not stay.
