This would be interesting to see... how will it work though?
Other methods...
Might be better to use a list, or perhaps use a Geneology software, like Geni :) --Wolf /talk page 19:50, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
Possible tree...
Here's one using the list format. It's a little more complete, but there's tons of history in the Reports that you could uncover and make a more complete picture. --Wolf /talk page 20:00, 8 July 2008 (EDT)

On top of the inverted version of Rocar's, I've just been looking at a column version showing when each ship's been about... 118Wiki:Sand Box#Year chart. That puts it in date perspective, and if things don't get too complicated, it could be done in such a way to show where ships predominantely split from or merged to (see Triumhpant and Indy for a merge). Given a CO tends to command a ship that splits from the ship of the CO that taught them... (though I've put Tiger as suceeding Ursa, that could be worked to show a merge, albeit a tad clumsily as crew transferring to Tiger from Ursa never joined Indy) - Lt. That looks great Salak.
I think this page could do with a little preambule. Then the table I've started followed by your table... both lots of info/ ways of presenting it would be good together.
Cheers for the extra info Admiral.. I was kinda going from memory (hence why its a bit one sided towards the Hollis Branch of the family tree right now). Will work it in.
In the long run years for these captains would be handy if anyone can be bothered finding them out! ..I'm putting question marks where im not sure for now.
"Fleet Captain Rocar Drawoh | Talk"
- I added a couple for McGregor... She commanded Wallace roughly June -> Sept 2000, with Jay Ross (her previous XO) taking over from her until decommissioning... which I'd thought was about Nov 2001 but now seems to be sometime in 2002; sims are on the Victory mailing list. - Lt. Salak Talk 21:23, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
Alder == Adler; you probably shouldn't have her in there twice. Tekra 18:21, 13 July 2008 (EDT)
Mcgregor
Did McGregor come from Shaun Marlin or from Brian Kelly?
"Fleet Captain Rocar Drawoh | Talk"
- Marlin on Indria, just double checked it. Was getting the Indria and the Ranger mixed up; Ranger was Kelly's... then Terra's, then Skye's, though was Skye simmed by Wolf? - Lt. Salak Talk 21:46, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
Ok so I have him descending from Marlin and Marlin descending from Kelly... but I suspect that might be wrong. Should Marlin be on the same level as Kelly (descending from Wolf?)
Also where does Capt Vedoc fit in... is he between Hollish and Raferty?
"Fleet Captain Rocar Drawoh | Talk"
- Certainly branches off Rendary, dunno if it's same level as Hollis or in between the two; just seen him on the "Kodiak" looking up Ursa Major & Kodiak-B dates. My turn to forget to sign for a change: - Lt. Salak Talk 22:18, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
- Vedoc's between the two; Rendary commanded the original Kodiak, Cpt Vedoc had the Kodiak-A then Cmdr Hollis took that over from him before replacing it with the Kodiak-B just after Anassasi launched on the first Indy if I've pieced the profile info together right, and read the Kodiak mission logs page correctly :) - Lt. Salak Talk 22:21, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
- Problem piecing the timeline together... there are some mentions of Anassasi as CO of the Conny, but the Indy list only shows her on the two Indys, along with Phoenix and I think possibly one other ship (not Conny). I know she'd been on Kodiak before command but I don't know bout this gap... may have to ask her. - Lt. Salak Talk 12:22, 9 July 2008 (EDT)

Floating CO's and Ships
Can anyone work out how to fit the following Captain's into the tree:
? Sven Tray ? Jeff Pelletier ? Adler Wong-Aquiss ? Skyfire ? San Aquiss ? Jesa Callen
I'm not sure of their ships or decendance?
"Fleet Captain Rocar Drawoh | Talk"
- Based on wiki pages for respective ships;
- Skyfire > "Alder" > Mike James - USS Obertha (Skyfire only) then USS Ronin (1st service, all three in turn)
- Pelletier (Freedom-A) > San' Aquiss (Freedom-A, Nemesis-A, Ops) > Demma (Nemesis-A, Freedom-A (renamed Defiance, attached to DS72), Deep Space 72) > Wong-Aquiss (Nemesis-B (renamed from Defiance), NX Nemesis (Nemesis-C, aka Achilles))
- Flt Cpt Sven Tray (Isannah)
- Jolon (Isannah) > McHendry (temp; isannah) > Laang (Isannah, Magellan).
- Alucard (Isannah) > Callen (Isannah)
- I'm fairly certain Adler became a CO long before Demma was. She may have taken over a vessel from Demma, but if my memory serves, that was on her second tour of duty. Originally, she descended from someone else. I would also move Pelletier's branch, as you mentioned, under Elinor. --Wolf /talk page 21:04, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
- We also need to add Yohan Bach. He was the first CO of the Freedom at the same time that Elinor was on her first command. He was the first person to make CO after her. I believe that Pelletier, then, was Elinor's FO, and took over the Freedom from Bach after he left. Sounds like a logical progression. --Wolf /talk page 21:50, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
- ...whilst I've been going through only the Reporters so far. Out of town for the next week though. - Lt. Salak Talk 22:05, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
Names still missing
Missing a couple names: O'Malley (Hammond, Jolon trained), Demma(Multiple), Randor(StarWind, Elinor trained), Jacobs (Ithaca?), VonGrippen (untrained), Keldor (Galileo) ... did Mike James ever make command? Edward Kingson (that's me, though, and I'd rather be on the list as my Executive Council character) Tekra 13:46, 9 July 2008 (EDT)
- Demma's listed under Elinor above. Mike James captained the Ronin, and thus is listed above under Alder & Skyfire, though we're not currently sure where Skyfire fits in (was he USS StarWind? Seem to recall reading bout them joining from outside or something? My memory may be mixing stuff up though). - Lt. Salak Talk 13:51, 9 July 2008 (EDT)
Jacobs / Ithaca
Leigha Jacobs commanded the USS Caledonia, a Prometheus class ship. I don't know definitively who she descends from, but I do show records of her receiving awards from Marlin, so it may be him. The records I have show a "Rowena Dannen" as CO of the Ithaca, but in one file I have, it is listed as a Training Ship. Not sure what the capacity was, though. It MAY have been a secondary of Jesa Callen's as the training officer at that time. I could be wrong on that, though. --Wolf /talk page 21:27, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
- Reporters do mention the Ithaca as a "simming vessel" but it has appeared to be a command training ship, and indeed the listing changed to reflect it before too long. I've been a bit puzzled trying to work out where people have come from through the Ithaca, so my research through the Reporters is a bit muddled in that corner at the sec. Thanks for the insight :) - Lt. Salak Talk 22:09, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
Curtis Arvanon
He was briefly CO of SB118 Ops after Randor, and then apparently went on to CO a ship called the USS Trinidad. That was short-lived, if memory serves. --Wolf /talk page 21:27, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
SkyFire
Check Reporters 19 and 20 for Skyfire. Looks like he was a Commander on the USS Arizona in #19, and then promoted to CO of the Oberth in #20. In #20, as well, Ruach is listed as being promoted to CO of the Arizona. However, there's no mention of Arizona at all in #18 or before that, which is mysterious... --Wolf /talk page 21:41, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
- Caught the same problem. Arizona did get mentioned as far back as Reporter #11, but replacing the Nova as the fleet training ship. The way I saw it, the Centris crew went onto a launching Arizona under Skyfire, poss his command test, before it split the next month with Skyfire on his new ship and Kanist's new character taking on the Arizona? - Lt. Salak Talk 22:12, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
Mistakes
Can anyone spot any mistakes in the article so far?
Wolf's place
I'm not sure it'd really be fair to list me as the original CO for everyone. For example, Brian Kelly never actually served under me -- he was brought in as a CO, on the recommendation of Elinor, to take over while she was away for a summer. If I remember correctly, he then moved on to his own ship. Pelletier would likely chafe at the idea of his legacy showing he descended from my command :) Elinor and I really worked together, more than she came from my command, although you could say that she was on my ship IC. --Wolf /talk page 21:58, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
