Daren was born to a Bish'ee Andorian family and grew up with 3 brothers, him being a middle child of the group of 4. The four siblings grew up as typical siblings do arguing and grumbling at each other about various things. Three of the brothers, including Daren were born thaan and the last sibling was born chan. The group of brothers were good for each other in the Andorian schools and culture. Constantly pushing each other and were as close as any group of young people. It was fun and an enjoyable childhood. Three of the siblings joined the Andorian Defense Force while Daren applied for Starfleet.
The Andorian was accepted and attended Starfleet Academy at Earth. He focused heavily in security throughout his time, playing into his natural strengths as a person. Upon graduation, he was placed on the USS Astraeus.
During his first few months as an officer on the USS Astraeus, it was pretty uneventful. Till frontier day. It was during frontier day that Daren was one of the young officers who were changed into a borg. He eventually was released after the field was put in place by the chief of Ops and resumed his duties, watching the brig full of changelings once he was himself. Since he has worked to not blame himself for anything that had happened and worked to heal.
