  • Star: Delta Rhotani (Shiyahes)
  • Distance from Star: 1.1 AU

Delta Rhotani (Shiyahes) is a flare star, meaning most cities and settlement is underground in the wide cavern network roughly a kilometer down.

In 2385, due to the twin supernovae of Hobus and Romulus, the planet was effectively rendered sterile and unlivable up to a too deep distance for habitation. While rescue efforts managed to rescue a hundred thousand out of a remaining population of millions that had not yet managed to evacuate, the world is now a dead world, with little chance of restoring it to habitability.

History

Delta Rhotani system, settled by Romulans shortly before reaching Romulus in ~380 CE. The reason it was settled was due to a lot of failing ships before they could reach their destination, of Romulus.

In 2399, efforts to form a new home world were beginning to bear fruit for the millions scattered across various planets.[1]

Government

The Shiyaheians were part of the Romulan Star Empire. Their new colony is in the borderlands the three successor Romulan powers are squabbling over, and has not yet been built.

Description

Generally, they look Romulan, but with pale violet skin.

Physiology

Due to needing to take refuge in the vast underground caverns of Shiyaheas, exposure to the underground metals, radiation, and flare star, Shiyaheians have distinct differences from other vulcanoid species. They tend to be on the shorter range of Romulans, and have violet skin. In addition, they have different biochemistry, and likely, over time, have became their own subspecies.
