After a trip through a rare space-time anomaly, the USS Invicta found itself in an alternate reality where the Dominion War had ended in the Federation's defeat.

In the alternate timeline, it was the Cardassian-Dominion alliance that suffered their own "Prometheus Incident," which coupled with the disaster in the prime timeline, led to the creation of the quantum fissure that crossed both universes.
